    I have approx. a couple hundred photos and videos. And I back up my hard drive but am not totally sure that the files are actually saved - I use apple online backup. I could really use an external hard drive. Especially since my first hard drive with this machine died and I lost some photos.

    Greetings, My husband does the computer aspect of our pictures and videos. I am the editor! My best guess for the number of pictures saved of our two sons is around 400 and no videos.     I have thousands of pictures and some videos on my computer, some are also on everyone else's computer on our home network, some aren't anywhere else. It's crazy keeping track of all of them! Maybe something like this would help me start keeping things about "neater" with my memory storage.

    I'd say I have three hundred pix and videos of my baby girl on my computer. Some of the vids and pics are uploaded to blog sites online. But I'd say probably less than a quarter. Just thinking about burning them onto a cd!

    Ok wow. I could SO use this right now. I have THOUSANDS of photos/videos on my computer right now. My laptop got fried a year ago and I lost pictures - which is when I invested in an external hard drive. Well, then THAT went kaput right before our move this summer for no known reason. Until then we did have photos in multiple places, but now I have no choice but to keep them all on my computer. I was actually hoping to get a replacement external hard drive today (Black Friday) but didn't. Boy oh BOY could I use this. I've lost way too many photos in the past year to go without any longer!

    We have hundreds and hundreds. DH asked what I wanted for Christmas and I told him, "All of the kids pics put onto CD's!" We have some of the more recent ones backed up after learning the hard way when our old computer went down. Some of the pics should still be salvageable, but it looks as if about 20% of them are lost forever. DH would kiss your feet if I won this, it would make his Christmas job so much easier. He didn't believe I was serious at first, I had to repeat my request!

    I have a thousands of Chloe's photos in my PC. Usually my husband will do a backup once a while by copying the photos to his laptop manually. Surely you don't want to lose the precious moment after your PC crashed. With Clickfree harddrive, I don't think I will have any worry about crashing computer anymore.

    I have thousands of pics saved on my computer.

    I have about 1/2 saved as duplicates. Mostly the older ones as I haven't made duplicates of the newest ones yet.

    More than 6 gigs of pictures on the main computer, with backups on a portable, but permanently attached external hard drive.

    My family has literally 1000s of pictures and many of them are duplicates on the same computer but different user. We have 5 people in our household and being a mother...I take TONS of pictures. I've feared so much lately that our computer is going to go out because it's already giving us warning signs...anyways, I fear losing everything I have so a clickfree hard drive would surly do the trick for us!!!!

    I have an entire external hard drive already filled with pictures. I backed up all that I had on my computer. Now it's full and I'm working on about 4 months worth of pics (which is roughly 1500 pictures) that are on my computer! I upload them to kodakgallery.com and shutterfly.com just as a back up but I really need another hard drive!

    Oh my! I really need this. My burner doesn't work on my desk top so I have to move things back and forth, 1 gig at a time, between the desk top and lap top just so I can burn and back things up. An external is on my "wish list" this year.

    To answer your questions...

    Approximately how many pictures and/or videos of your children do you have saved on your computer? Too many to count!!! I am a freelance photographer, not to mention of course I love taking pictures of my family. I must have hundreds on my computer!

    How many of those pictures or videos do you have duplicates of that are not on that same computer? Hardly any. I try and get some things backed up and some things on my lap top but my USB drive is only 1 gig so it takes forever and a day to get it done. I have about 125 gig worth of stuff I need to back up. So you can see why I really need an external.

    I take A LOT of pictures!! I have about 20000 or so on this computer. I do have some saved on cds and then have printed some pictures off and put them in the fire proof safe. BUT I have had my computer fried by lightening one time and LOST ALL of THOSE pictures! I would LOVE this...thanks for the chance!

    *Raises hand* Guilty as charged: I have more than 1000 photos and more than 4500 songs on my mac, dating back to 2004, and not nary one is backed up ANYWHERE. I rue the day when my computer gives up the ghost and I lose those doggone files... I SHOULD know better, seeing as I'm a writer and my computer is MY LIFE. I JUST lost three years worth of files on my laptop when my computer crashed (I made a movie for my in-laws and it ate every bit of memory, killing my documents files--ARGH! Several of my book projects were on there... *weeps*.) And did I learn my lesson? Noooooo. My other computer is STILL begging for back-up. I'm all over this one!

    Ok that was just a scary thing to do! I have likley almost 1000 photos on my computer. How many of them are backed up? Mmmmm, maybe a couple hundred, only because I did save a bunch on cd's awhile ago and have some uploaded to photo developing sites but I certainly have no method to my madness here. I think I need an external hard drive!!

    I never realized how many I actually had until you asked "how many pictures or video's do you have of your children on your PC?" I currently have 769 pictures and only 9 video's ( I just recently started using a flip video camera ) and I'm sure my video's will increase rapidly now. I was actually surprised at how many I actually had on my PC. To answer your second question "NONE" are backed up. Not smart I know but I haven't figured out how to back them up yet but the "clickfree portable Backup 160GB external hard drive sounds simple to use and I sure could use it for sure.     I probably have about 200 on this computer but I have a ton on my last computer. I can still access it but it is near impossible to move them all to the new computer. this would be PERFECT! I could back up my old (slow haggard) computer and steal my taxes back, and my pictures! this would be awesome!

    Our computer's video card died recently so I know how valuable this is! I have saved the hard drive hoping someone will be able to help me get all the photos off. All the pictures of my son from when he was born until now are on there. There are hundreds! After this happened I told my husband we're getting an external drive. I SO hope I win!

    Probably between 5 and 10 thousand pictures. Of those, about 1/2 would be keepers. Of all of them, I'd say that I probably have 500-1000 backed up elsewhere.

    I think at least 6000...and that is just my laptop! I don't have most of them copied anywhere else tho some are in some cds. We sooo need this. It is my constant fear that we will lose these pictures, also my computer is losing disk space fast!

    If I had to guess, I'm thinking I have at least 4 000 pictures on my computer...and I don't have them saved anywhere else! (I know, cower in shame!)     I cringe to even write this because I have had good luck so far, but I have over 4000 pictures all piled up on my laptop, spanning my daughter's entire five years, and I have never backed them up. I really want to have an external hard drive to keep at my mom's house, in case of a fire and to keep all my precious memories safe and secure!

    Well I did a little investigation and I'd say I have about 5Gigs of videos (thats a bout 10 or so) and uhmm 2,000 photos which is another 2-3 gigs or maybe more! yikes My computers been acting a little messed lately I've been putting off doing a fresh install because of all the back up troubles.(these are the times a mac is soo desirable!).     I have 1,000's of pictures & probably at least 100 videos. My hard drive is actually full, my dad (who bought my computer) couldn't believe I already filled it. Probably 35 - 45% off that is backed up.

    In March I lost all of my pictures. I got almost all of the back between my back up cd's & ordering them online. However I did lose a good month or two straight of pictures. I got better with backing up, but have slacked. I'd love an external hard drive because I could clear out my current hard drive, so my computer could run better!

    i take so many picture. just in 2006 i have saved, average 52 folders of average 30 photos in each folders, same goes in 2007, 2008 and i plan to do the same in the years ahead. i keep the photos on different locations and backthem up whenever i remember to do so also on different locations like hubbies computer. i havebeen planning on organizing them, an external hard drive will be best for that task!

    Oh wow, this giveaway is fantastic! Thank you so much!

    I don't have any little ones, but I do have hundreds and hundreds of photos and videos. Luckily, my boyfriend made copies of the photos onto my laptop as well, but we don't have everything saved and even more importantly, all my other files - writing, documents - are only on one system, which makes me very nervous. We actually plan on purchasing one of these anyway, so it would be simply awesome to win one!!

    When I last checked, I had over a 1,000 pictures on my hard -drive. I do back up my pictures once every so often on CD's and USB cords. Currently 3 USB cords holds most of my collection so this giveaway is perfect. Count me in!

    Wow! What a great item! I have about 200 pictures on my computer- and no copies anywhere else! I should know better too since I lost a computer a couple years ago and everything in it! I was forever getting things back - and never will get my pictures. Thanks for the chance to win!

    I have too many pics and videos on my computer to count! thousands at least! We had a scare a while back with a virus- luckily everything was recovered and I STILL have not backed everything up!
    And worse...I don't have copies of most of the pics and videos anywhere else!
    BadMommy needs a clickfree portable backup!

    OMG! Let me just tell you that I have a 500GB external hard drive and a 250GB external hard drive and a 250GB hard drive in my computer and the two external ones are full. I LOVE to take pictures of my kids and videos. I also back them up onto dvd's. I'm obsessed I know, I have over 5,000 pictures of my 2 month old. Pictures are my weakness.

    I'd say I have over 1000 pics and videos of my 3 boys. I have duplicates of most of them on memory cards, but it would be great to have this so my computer doesn't get so full.

    I have thousands of pictures on my computer, and, at best guess less than 20% of them are backed up...and most likely some of those are duplicates.

    About 250 that are paper copies before my digital camera then another 250 paper plus digital and another 500 ++ Four year old twins cause lots pf pics. Thanks for the contest

    I have about 2500 pictures (which is making my computer run slow as I type this!LOL) and I have duplicates of them all on my memory cards that I save instead of reuse! I am so paranoid that I will lose all my pictures of my precious little man! This portable hard drive would be a lifesaver! Thanks for the chance to win one!

    Wow! I just went and looked - there are 3,235 pictures on the computer. How many do I have duplicates of not on the computer? NOT A SINGLE ONE! That is scary.

    I have 2 teens with music, pictures, research papers, essays, then I have from all of us pictures. My son who lives 1200 miles away just had his first child the only pictures I have are of the day he was born and the first week that my other daughter sent by email to me. I have had my last pc crash and we lost everything. So everytime my kids use pc I pray that nothing happens. I also know somewhat about pc's but don't want triples of everything to blog down my pc. So this prize would be so great for my family as we could store them and i would know that they are safe,

    I. Have. Thousands. With four kids, I can't begin to count all the pics. I my paranoia about my computer hard drive crashing, I began copying them on a flash drive but quickly ran ot of room.

    I only have about 150 now because last June there was a computer-cide at my house. After acting suspiciously for a few weeks before, one sunny day in June, Windows took its own life and I lost everything on my hard drive. Pictures, iTunes, genealogy research...all lost except for a very old backup I had on a million cd's.

    In answer to your second question, there were no duplicates of the pictures. Those were lost and I mourn the loss daily.

    Most all of them are backed up on an external hard driver! but only because I lost them a couple of years ago. What a nightmare.

    I have over a thousand pictures of my daughters on my wife's laptop. Every so often I take those pictures and transfer to another computer as backup, but I actually have not done that in the past 6 months. So probably a few hundred pictures are not backed up yet.

    I would say that I have about 2000 large format files. I have a current 40GB external hard drive that I've just about maxed out if you factor in the video files. So far everything important has a duplicate, but I won't be able to keep that up if I don't update my hardware.

    I don't even know how many. It's a lot and I don't think I've backed up my photos in a while. I'd be devestated if I lost them all. I think tomorrow I'll be making some discs. My brother is always saying we should store the extra discs somewhere other than the house that way they won't get ruined if anything happens.

    I actually don't have many pics saved to my computer. (This is a 9 year old laptop and doesn't have any space left to save to, plus I don't trust it.) All my pictures are on CD's that I have to send with my husband to work to do, since this computer is so old :-)

    Oh my, I've quite a few pictures saved on this laptop, along with plenty of research documents (as I'm a student), and unfortunately, I've backed them up nowhere. Seems every place I want to save them isn't quite what I'm looking for. I don't want to have to go through and upload every single picture, as I'm a photographer too.
