Cutting the cloth is 1) a way to prove you DO have the playpen without them having to spend the cost to send the entire thing back to Fisher Price and 2) makes sure no one else will use the playpen since the fabric's all missing. They already know all about why the bars are breaking.

I'm SO glad I did a search online to find out what these were selling for used. Because I stumbled upon the government website showing the recall and now I'm getting my $100 too! I called Fisher Price and Simplicity back in 2008 a number of times to no avail. Fisher Price said I had to talk to Simplicity and Simplicity kept insisting I wasn't clicking both sides, though I'd done it on the phone with them. Or that I'd moved it or whatever. It fell once with the baby inside but ALL the time with NO ONE around. I'd written this one off but now I'm getting $100 back. YES!

So glad I found this. Was about to sale it on Craigslist.com when I saw this. I am getting back at least $50.00 more then I was going to ask, but the best part is thankfully nothing happened to my daughter. She used it for over 1 year, we noticed how the sides collapsing, just thought we had bumped into the button when we were putting here in.

He is the cutest little one ever (next to my little man of course). My little man doesn't have a lovey. I think he just likes being destructive right now. We'll see what happens.

Fortunately my kids (so far at least) haven't developed a "Lovey". My oldest does have a favorite toy, but he doesn't need it to fall a sleep or to go where ever he goes. I'm thankful for that.

It's just always the littlest or simplest things that they find so entertaining! he is so cute :-) Willie's favorite thing is jumping into a pile of clean laundry. He can do it for almost an hour before he gets tired!

It's been a loooong time my youngest is now 9, but I do remember doing that! Forgetting I put food in the freezer to cool, I'd fix another bowl, or plate of something for them to eat. Thanks for the memories.

They always enjoy the the cheap simple things we never intended to be toys more than the overpriced toys with all the bells and whistles. My son got these square things in a cereal box that I thought I would just throw away. I have no idea what they're for and the box is in french. He plays with them all the time, although I'm not sure what he's doing with them...

I love the new digs. I know what you mean about your little guy growing up. My little man is growing up too and it is so bittersweet. He is definitely developing into his own, or a wicked combination of mommy and daddy. Is this possible? He loves to eat, will eat everything (gets that from daddy) but he gets an attitude (a mean one) when he is hungry (gets that from mommy).
